Scotch & Soda Barfly Perfumes launch

Role: Digital Design, Art Direction

The Barfly fragrances weren't launched on their own. Scotch & Soda brought them to its audience through several seasonal campaigns, so the scents appeared alongside the fashion collections as part of the brand's wider story.

I designed the digital experience across the website, app and web editorial, making sure the perfumes felt at home in each campaign while keeping a consistent look across all channels. The campaigns included:

  • Spring Collection Launch: fragrance introduced alongside the new season's looks, with mood-led storytelling

  • Valentine's Day: Barfly presented as a gift for someone special, with a romantic, intimate tone

  • Winter Holidays Gift Guide: perfumes featured as gifts, with curated selections that were easy to shop

I also designed a series of newsletters just for the Barfly family of scented products. They gave the fragrances their own spotlight outside the fashion campaigns.

Valentine's Day Campaign

For Valentine's Day, I created a cross-sell campaign that paired Barfly scented products with Scotch & Soda's new spring fashion collection. By putting fragrance and fashion side by side, each one led customers to the other, turning seasonal gifting into a way to discover the new collection.

To make it more playful, I art directed key moments from the campaign video and turned them into GIFs. That brought the video's energy to the web and newsletters, where video couldn't play.

Winter Holidays Gift Campaign

For the Holiday Season Gift Guide, Barfly perfumes were featured as festive gifts in Scotch & Soda's curated holiday selection.

To add some fun, I animated the perfume in the campaign image so the bottle came alive among the little canal houses.
